Trumpet: lightweight for easy play. Features a large grip handle for small and delicate hands and it makes three different sounds when the buttons are pressed.
Drum: double sided drum which can be separated into two individual drums. Play like bongos, a marching band, or for two children at the same time. Rolls effortlessly causing internal beads to ‘rattle’.
Accordion: Two wide, soft and pliable handles for the child to grip or hold whilst squeezing and pulling the bellows. Twisting the ends changes the notes played.
These sensory music toys will help develop your child’s sensory awareness and experience through combinations of :
- gripping and release
- touch and feel
- hand and eye co-ordination
- cause and effect
Each toy offers different sounds and pitch and require different levels of dexterity. Check out these and other sensory toys on the Special-Needs-Toys website.
We have a new addition to our series of Talking, Singing and Dancing Plush Toys: Lena Lamb and she’s absolutely adorable.

- “Humpty Dumpty”
- “Hichory Dickory Dock”
- “Jack and Jill”
- “Little Bo Peep” and,
- “Twinkle twinkle little star”
She’s surface washable and comes with batteries. Just connect a switch and let the children play.

“There’s a snake in my boots”, “reach for the sky”, “yer my favourite deputy”
Sheriff Woody is one of three new switch adapted and accessible toys we have introduced as part of our new 2012 collection. Take a look at the Special-Needs-Toys website now.
We are trying to make it easier for parents and carers to find appropriate toys by suggesting an age range suitability. As a guide we are suggesting three age ranges:
3 to 6 years , 6 to 10 years and 10 to teens
These are suggestions and clearly there will be overlap depending on each individuals like, and abilities.
We’ll be adding more switch toys and gadgets to the range over the next weeks and months.
