Brushing Buddy switch adapted toy

Brushing-BuddyBrushing Buddy is a switch accessible toy specially adapted for young children who use switches to activate their toys.

He’s more than just a toy, Brushing Buddy is a perfect helper and will turn brushing teeth into a game young children will enjoy.

Press his switch and he’ll help keep your child’s attention on brushing their teeth, for the dentist recommended two minutes, with his encouraging phrases and a sparkling light-up smile, when finished.

Update March 2015: no longer available but do check out all the other Talking, Singing and Dancing switch adapted toys on the Special-Needs-Toys website.

Sensory musical toys

89653_[800x600]Trumpet: lightweight for easy play. Features a large grip handle for small and delicate hands and it makes three different sounds when the buttons are pressed.

89651_[800x600]Drum: double sided drum which can be separated into two individual drums. Play like bongos, a marching band, or for two children at the same time. Rolls effortlessly causing internal beads to ‘rattle’.

89654_[800x600]Accordion: Two wide, soft and pliable handles for the child to grip or hold whilst squeezing and pulling the bellows. Twisting the ends changes the notes played.

These sensory music toys will help develop your child’s sensory awareness and experience through combinations of :

  • gripping and release
  • touch and feel
  • hand and eye co-ordination
  • cause and effect

Each toy offers different sounds and pitch and require different levels of dexterity. Check out these and other sensory toys on the Special-Needs-Toys website.
